How to create or recover an account, using Keplr Wallet.

What is Keplr?

How to add Keplr Wallet to your Browser?
Before being able to use the wallet, you first have to add the extension on your web Browser.
1. Open keplr.app website in your browser. It is preferable to always use the official website to ensure you download an official extension.
2. Click on the “Chrome” or “Firefox” button, depending of your browser
3. If you choose Chrome, for example, click on “Add to Chrome”, then on “Add extension” to install the wallet on your browser:
How to create a new wallet with Keplr Wallet?
Once you have installed the Keplr Wallet extension on your Browser, you will be redirected to a new page to create an account. You can also return to this page later by clicking on the extension icon.
1. Click on the “Create a new wallet” button:
2. The wallet lets you use a recovery phrase, or connect with Google to create a new account. We prefer to use a recovery phrase:
3. This step is the most important one! The wallet will display your wallet recovery phrase (also known as mnemonic). Click on “I understood. Show my phrase.”, take the time to note the phrase on paper, and keep that paper in a safe place. Don’t lose it, and don’t share it with anyone.
4. Check that your recovery phrase is correctly noted, by filling in the 2 verification words, and give a name to your wallet:
5. Select the networks you wish to display. Don’t worry, you can add more later.
6. Congratulations! Your wallet is now created.
How to recover a wallet with Keplr Wallet?
Once you have installed the Keplr Wallet extension on your Browser, you can recover an existing wallet by importing it recovery phrase or private key. In this article, we’ll show you how to do it with the recovery phrase, but the steps are similar with the private key.
1. Click on the “Import existing recovery phrase” button:
2. Enter the 12 or 24 words you safely wrote down when creating your wallet:
3. All right, your wallet is now imported. You can now name it as you wish.
How to deposit tokens?
You can now deposit tokens (ATOM, OSMO, JUNO…) from an exchange or another wallet. To find out the address of your wallet, click on the “Deposit”, then copy the address of the blockchain you want.
